Buy To Open (BTO) is an options order used to buy options contracts. It literally means to open a position by buying it.
Yes, options positions can also be opened by "selling" it through the "Sell To Open" order.
If you bought an options contract using the Buy To Open order, you will have to close that order using the Sell To Close order if you want to sell it for profit or stop loss.
